Quality of Life Among Patients with Type 2 Diabetic Mellitus in Outpatient Department, General Public Hospital, West Java

Diabetic Mellitus causes many complications and profoundly affects patients’ lives, impacting their physical, psychological, social well being. These are debilitating significantly impair quality of life. However, little is known about the life patients with type 2 diabetic mellitus in West Java Province, Indonesia, a gap addressed by this study. A cross-sectional survey was conducted sample 73 adult diabetes outpatient department general public hospital Java. The questionnaire included demographic data World Health Organisation (WHO) markers. results indicate that agreed to join study, 76.7% were age over 45 years old 68% female. majority reported poor 3 domains, physical domain (64.4%), psychological (53.4%), environmental (52.1%). seems more favourable, 54.8% respondents reporting good This study indicates importance achieving better disease management improve patient’ life.
